KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat will proceed to sue Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd chief executive office Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing for making allegations he had received RM10mil from him.
Ong had given Tiong until Wednesday to withdraw his statement and apologise.
The deadline passed without any such action.
“I will still bring it to court to regain my pride and to clear my name over the endless defamatory allegations.

When I say I’ll do it, I’ll do it,” he told reporters yesterday after witnessing a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between Portman College Sdn Bhd and Technical Resource and Internship Network.
Ong refused to reveal when the lawsuit against Tiong would be filed.
He said Tiong, who is also Bintulu MP, had wavered in his statements over the past week about the RM10mil allegation and that the public also questioned Tiong’s integrity and credibility.
“From labelling it as a loan, he then described it as a donation. He also could not be sure of the quantum he has been mentioning.
“The quantum has varied from RM2mil to RM6mil to RM8mil and finally RM10mil. Now the rakyat wants to know about his integrity and credibility,” he said.
Ong said it was not him but the Port Klang Authority (PKA) special task force that found Tiong’s company making fraudulent claims worth RM1bil.
“When I said I would take the risk, I am determined to carry out my duties in following up issues concerning the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal,” he said.
On the advice by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for both of them to be cautious about making their current spat public as it would affect the image of the Government and Barisan Nasional, Ong said there was nothing personal against Tiong.
“I have no personal dealing with him. What we have here is about the PKFZ issue,” he said.
